Your profile:

• Several years of successful experience in strategic or central purchasing, preferably in the building materials specialist or wholesale trade or a comparable technical product range environment
• Knowledge of roofing and façade product ranges as well as Austrian supplier and market structures is a clear advantage. Decisive factors are strong purchasing expertise and the willingness to quickly familiarise yourself with the product portfolio
• Experience in preparing and independently conducting economically relevant price, terms and contract negotiations
• High affinity for numbers, enjoyment of precise detail work and the ability to derive clear strategic decisions from well-founded analyses
• Entrepreneurial thinking, negotiation skills, assertiveness and at the same time a cooperative approach when dealing with sales and branch offices
• Confident use of ERP systems and MS Excel, good German language skills, practical English skills and appropriate travel readiness

Your key responsibilities:

• Independent responsibility for central purchasing and the further development of the roofing and façade product ranges in Austria
• Thorough preparation and conduct of annual, price, terms and contract negotiations with existing and new suppliers
• Detailed calculation and analysis of purchase prices, bonuses, rebates, freight terms, payment targets, margins and inventory effects
• Optimisation of the product and supplier portfolio in close coordination with sales, branch offices, SCM, logistics, pricing and finance
• Active involvement in the further centralisation, standardisation and professionalisation of purchasing processes
