E-Mobility
In total, there are over 29,000 publicly accessible charging points and over 204,000 fully electric vehicles in Austria.
In a European comparison, Austria ranks among the top 10 with 197 public charging points per 100,000 inhabitants.
The e-charging station finder ladestellen.atladestellen.at () shows all public charging points in Austria, including those provided by energy companies, supermarkets and hotels.
There is a special number plate for 100% electrically-powered vehicles and hydrogen-vehicles (white background, green lettering). The e-license plate is optional, so it is up to each e-vehicle owner to decide whether to choose an e-license plate or a "normal" license plate. However, if you want to benefit from any local concessions, you will need an e-license plate.
