Your Role
In this position, you will work within the project team (coordinating all activities related to the planning and execution of rail infrastructure projects, including schedules, costs, and quality) – your responsibilities will include:

  • During the planning and construction phases, you will take on project management tasks as part of the project leadership team and coordinate the project team’s activities related to planning and construction execution.
  • You will contribute to the coordination of construction processes and project schedules and support the coordination between internal departments, contractors, authorities, and other project partners.
  • Together with your colleagues, you will represent the interests of ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG to service providers, authorities, municipalities, and local residents, and handle tasks related to tendering procedures for services and construction work.
  • As part of planning management, you will assist in creating project-specific workflows, review submission, tender, and execution documents, manage tendering procedures, and support the creation of schedules and cost plans.
  • Additionally, you will coordinate project-related services and support the alignment of requirements from operations, safety, and infrastructure during project execution.
  • Together with the project team, you will ensure professional project management in demanding rail infrastructure projects and contribute to the overall project outcomes.

The Project Management Vorarlberg team implements numerous construction projects across Vorarlberg – in this role, you will primarily oversee conversions and new constructions within a railway operational context.

Your Profile

  • You hold a university of applied sciences or university degree in civil engineering/construction (or a related field) and have several years of practical experience in civil or infrastructure engineering.
  • Knowledge of project management and MS Office is a prerequisite – and you also bring a strong passion for the railway sector.
  • As a team player, you enjoy taking on responsibility and value collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • With your open and communicative personality, you enjoy diving into new topics and are still in the midst of your learning and development journey.
  • Beyond the technical challenges of infrastructure construction, you are also interested in business and legal matters.
  • Your flexibility allows you to adapt to changing project requirements, and you hold a category B driver’s license for business trips within the project area.
