To ensure our railway system functions smoothly, thousands of switches must operate reliably. We inspect, maintain, and repair them throughout their entire lifespan. Your Job
- As a Technical Service Specialist, you will support the execution of inspection activities as well as maintenance, construction, and repair work in the field of signalling and control technology (including various switch components and switching systems, etc.).
- You will assist in determining the required materials and equipment and keep auxiliary records for construction reports, performance records, test protocols, etc.
- If necessary, after a corresponding training phase, you will handle various safety tasks.
- You will ensure strict adherence to all guidelines and instructions.
Your Profile
- You have completed vocational training (apprenticeship or technical school) as an electrician, electronics technician, mechatronics technician, or in a related profession.
- Flexibility and a willingness to work night shifts and occasionally on weekends are required for this position.
- You are eager to advance professionally, learn new skills (railway technology), and take on responsibility.
- The necessary physical and mental fitness, including track and height suitability (to be determined upon hiring), as well as a category B driving licence, are prerequisites for this position.
- Ideally, you have completed mandatory military or alternative civilian service (for male applicants) or hold an exemption certificate.
Our Offer
- The position of "Technical Service Specialist for Signalling and Control Technology" comes with a minimum gross annual salary of €42,807.10 for a 38.5-hour workweek. Willingness to pay above this amount exists. You may also receive a travel allowance of €560 gross per month, depending on the role and deployment.
