YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers in the retail and consumer environment and for building our SAP Public Cloud presence. You will take full ownership of your target customers, steer the sales approach in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and manage the entire process—from initial contact to commercial contract closure.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for acquiring new customers in the retail and consumer environment, including target customer strategy and prioritization
  • Managing the entire sales cycle—from initial contact through solution development and commercial negotiations to contract closure
  • Positioning SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and relevant SAP Industry Cloud solutions for retail and omnichannel
  • Translating specific retail requirements into an offering: Fit-to-Standard instead of custom code, Clean Core, predictable subscription costs, and rapid value realization
  • Building sustainable relationships with decision-makers on both the business and IT sides
  • Developing the sales storyline and coordinating proposals, presentations, and contracts for decision-makers
  • Maintaining a qualified pipeline and a reliable forecast
  • Representing NETCONOMY at relevant trade fairs and industry events

YOUR SKILLS

  • +5 years of practical experience in B2B sales of complex IT solutions or enterprise software with a focus on new customer acquisition
  • Experience in the SAP environment and ideally with S/4HANA, SAP Public Cloud, SAP Commerce, or SAP Industry Cloud
  • Industry knowledge in the retail and consumer environment
  • Understanding of cloud transformation, system integration, and Fit-to-Standard
  • Experience with complex negotiations and diverse stakeholders
  • Structured sales discipline: independently building the pipeline, using a qualification method (such as MEDDIC), and providing reliable revenue forecasts
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels
  • Willingness to travel, approximately 50% to 60% of working time
  • Excellent communication skills in German (C1) and English (B2/C1)
