- In 9 weeks, you will learn all the essentials about technology, safety equipment, and all relevant regulations.
- You will independently conduct vehicle checks and ensure the operational readiness of the vehicles.
- Performing shunting and coupling tasks, as well as operating switches, turntables, and hangar doors, will also be part of your responsibilities.
- You will refuel vehicles with the necessary operating materials and the legally required inventory items.

Your Profile
- You are at least 19 years old at the start of the course and have successfully completed compulsory schooling.
- Preferably, you can demonstrate completed school or vocational training (e.g., apprenticeship, vocational maturity, technical school, etc.) with a view to further professional qualification.
- You enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions and are physically fit.
- You and your family can handle varying working hours in shift work (nights/weekends/public holidays).

After completing the training and performing the role of "Vehicle Preparer:Shunter," the salary is at least €37,234.82 gross per year, with an above-collective agreement remuneration of at least €38,991.54 gross per year.
- Further training modules will help you climb the career ladder if you meet the necessary qualifications and requirements (completed vocational training/apprenticeship as well as the required medical and psychological fitness). Advance to become a Shunting Supervisor, Vehicle Coordinator, or Depot Locomotive Driver, and you will receive a higher salary corresponding to the position.
