Your Responsibilities:

• Leading your shift team: You assign staff based on shipment volume, set priorities together with them, and ensure everyone knows what they are doing. You also manage working hours and overtime.
• Controlling the sorting process: From goods receipt to handover for delivery, you keep the workflow under control to ensure shipments are on the routes on time and in full.
• Monitoring key performance indicators: You track operational figures during ongoing operations and identify deviations early enough to take corrective action—whether due to staff shortages, shipment peaks, or technical disruptions.
• Standards and safety: You ensure that work in your shift follows the agreed processes and address any non-compliance with safety regulations.
• External interface: In case of clarification needs during operations, you coordinate with clients and delivery partners to find pragmatic solutions.
• Communication with site management: You keep them informed about shift progress, anomalies, and performance, and represent them when they are not on site.

Your Profile:

Professional

• Experience in logistics, production, retail, or a comparable operational environment
• Initial leadership experience—as a foreperson, team leader, or deputy
• A feel for key performance indicators and what they reveal about ongoing operations
• Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel
• Fluent German, English skills an advantage

Personal

• Decisiveness and the ability to maintain an overview, even when multiple tasks demand attention simultaneously
• Clear communication with the team, partners, and clients
• Hands-on mentality: When things get tight, you are on the floor, not in the office

Salary:

• The collectively agreed minimum salary for this position is EUR 37,289 gross per year.
• We offer a market-conform gross salary starting from EUR 40,000 gross per year. Depending on qualifications and experience, we provide an appropriate salary above this amount.
