We are seeking analytically minded, solution-oriented individuals with a hands-on mentality who are ready to take responsibility for productive systems in a rail-critical environment while also professionally coordinating, structuring, and developing a six-person team.

Your job, you…

• take on the professional coordination of a new team in Security Operations and, together with your colleagues, ensure the stable, secure, and highly available operation of central security platforms and infrastructure services in a rail-critical environment.
  
• manage the operational task distribution within the team, prioritize ongoing operational, incident, change, and project activities, and ensure transparency, accountability, and traceable decision-making in day-to-day operations.
  
• are responsible, together with the team, for the operation and continuous further development of central security services, particularly in the areas of firewall infrastructures, rule and policy management, perimeter, and network security services.
  
• coordinate the evaluation, optimization, and further development of complex security architectures and ensure that technical, operational, regulatory, and organizational requirements are aligned.
• lead the operation and further development of DNS, DDI, and name resolution services, ensuring sustainable security, stability, and high availability.
  
• manage, together with subject matter experts, the operational deployment of intrusion prevention systems and other protective mechanisms for the early detection and mitigation of security-critical events.
  
• coordinate the operation and further development of external authentication platforms and PKI-/HSM-based security services, ensuring their secure integration into the corporate landscape.
  
• take charge of the professional coordination around web proxy infrastructures and ensure the aligned implementation and further development of security, compliance, and access guidelines.
  
• analyze and assess, together with your team, complex security-relevant events, threats, and risks in the operational environment and derive sustainable measures for risk minimization, stabilization, and system hardening.
  
• act as the central professional interface between operations, security governance, SOC, architecture, projects, internal clients, and external partners, ensuring clear, solution-oriented communication.
  
• manage and oversee the handling of security incidents, particularly in the areas of firewall, DNS, IPS, PKI, authentication, and web proxy, and ensure, together with the team, a sustainable root-cause analysis and lessons-learned implementation.
  
• ensure that security policies, standards, governance requirements, and operational documentation are adhered to, maintained, and continuously further developed in day-to-day operations.
  
• actively support audits, assessments, and regulatory reviews, prepare operational evidence in a structured manner, and coordinate the implementation of resulting measures.
  
• contribute your expertise to architectural decisions, projects, and transformation topics and help drive the strategic further development of Security Operations within Operations Management Platform Services.
  
• promote knowledge building within the team, support colleagues with complex issues, ensure knowledge transfer, and further develop standards, working methods, and documentation together with the team.
  
• take on a professional role model function, provide guidance in critical situations, and foster a professional, solution-oriented, and responsible team culture.
  
• are part of an on-call duty roster for your area of responsibility.
