The Bosch Engineering Center Linz is driving the transformation of mobility by developing and manufacturing innovative technologies for the entire powertrain in the market segments of Electrification, Passenger Cars, Commercial Vehicles, and Off-Highway. Additionally, we develop hydrogen injection valves and electrolysis stacks, contributing to the establishment of hydrogen production in Europe. • You are responsible for the complete electrical design of electrolysis stacks, from defining requirements through geometry and material selection to securing the insulation concept.
• To validate your design, you conceptualize, control, and oversee simulations as well as demanding high-voltage tests, particularly partial discharge and impulse voltage tests.
• You take on development responsibility for a current-carrying main component in the stack and define the necessary operating modes for normal and fault conditions while adhering to all relevant standards and TÜV requirements.
• You analyze the integration of stacks into DC grid systems, evaluate the interaction with electrochemistry, and actively support the optimization of cell voltage monitoring.
• You define test methods and standards for stack testing and create the associated construction, testing, and documentation guidelines within our quality and change management framework.
• In your central role, you work closely with system development, the customer team, and international testing teams to drive development forward in a targeted manner.

• Personality and work style: You impress with your structured, analytical, and independent way of working. As a team player, you find it easy to coordinate within international and interdisciplinary teams and achieve goals together.
• Experience and know-how: You bring several years of professional experience and in-depth expertise in electrical engineering, ideally in high-voltage technology (e.g., insulation coordination, partial discharge, and impulse voltage testing). Additionally, you have knowledge of direct current (DC) grids and a basic understanding of electrochemical processes. You already have initial practical experience in applying test methods, handling measurement and testing systems, as well as with development processes such as FMEA and risk assessments.
• Enthusiasm: You are passionate about sustainable technologies and driven to contribute to the development of key components for green hydrogen production.
• Education: You have successfully completed a university degree (Master/Diploma/Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Energy Technology, or a comparable engineering discipline.
• Languages: You speak fluent German and English to ensure smooth coordination within the international Bosch network.

Working hours: from 38.5 hours/week on a leasing basis

It is important to us to offer a fair salary that matches your skills and experience. This can be significantly above the collective agreement (metalworking industry) and starts from 53,200 EUR gross per year for 38.5 hours/week (no all-in contract), as well as additional benefits at the location.
