We are looking for an interested and motivated Junior Technical Specialist in Civil Engineering for the Transport and Route Planning team in the Civil Engineering department.
Your Job
- Your responsibilities include managing procurement – especially for service contracts in the field of route planning.
- Furthermore, you will be responsible for the technical support of infrastructure developments, submission planning, and detailed planning, and will take on planning tasks – particularly in the areas of track alignment, route planning, and transport planning. A holistic view of all planning phases is the primary goal.
- The correct execution of performance and cost controlling, as well as support in the creation and updating of internal and external railway technical regulations and standards as a basis for the planning and construction of railway projects, are also part of your varied field of activity.

Your Profile
- For this role, you have a university of applied sciences or university degree (Master’s) in Civil Engineering or a related field – preferably in Civil Engineering (with a focus on Transport and Mobility), Spatial Planning (with a focus on Mobility and Energy Spatial Planning), or Agricultural Engineering and Water Management (with a focus on Transport Planning and Transport Infrastructure).
- Ideally, you bring initial relevant professional experience in transport infrastructure planning or construction.
- Good English skills, solid IT user knowledge, and business management know-how round off your profile.
- On a personal level, you impress with strong social skills, decisiveness, high flexibility, organizational strength, teamwork, and a responsible and innovative approach to work.
- You also demonstrate a strong willingness for further education and training. As an internal candidate, you can provide proof of the technical examination FW/PE01 Railway and Civil Engineering Course (EBIST). As an external applicant, you show a willingness to complete this course.
- You hold a Class B driver’s license.
- Furthermore, you possess the necessary physical and mental fitness (track/railway suitability will be determined upon hiring).
