Main Areas of Responsibility:

• Medical practice in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, application of all common general anaesthesia procedures as well as regional anaesthesia, modern anaesthesia workstations, digital documentation
• Depending on the clinic, anaesthesiological care in the fields of surgery, internal medicine, orthopaedics and traumatology, urology, gynaecology and obstetrics, paediatrics and adolescent medicine including neonatology, neurology, ENT and/or interventional radiology or oncology
• Depending on the location, among others, also emergency Caesarean section, Da Vinci surgical system or specialised areas such as neurosurgery, thyroid or ophthalmic surgery
• In addition to anaesthesia, shock and recovery rooms and intensive care units (ICU) (categories 2-3, including artificial ventilation and nutrition, renal replacement therapy, etc.), there are also preoperative outpatient clinics, pain clinics and emergency physician vehicles as well as acute geriatrics
• Participation in on-call duties (weekdays, weekends, 24h each), possibility to engage in emergency medical services

Requirements:

• Specialist diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine – recognition as a specialist in anaesthesiology within the EU/EEA or alternatively in a third country with a continuous 3-year practice as an anaesthesiologist in an EU/EEA country
• Valid emergency physician diploma is an advantage but not mandatory (the emergency physician diploma can, if desired, also be obtained during employment as part of further training)
• German language skills at B2 level, English language skills, knowledge of Eastern European languages is an advantage
• Team spirit, motivation, solution-oriented approach and enjoyment of empathetic patient care
• Prior to starting the position, immunity against measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), varicella and hepatitis
