BIM Coordinator Maintenance

ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG published 11 days ago
  • Vienna
  • Full Time

The Track Management and Asset Development (SAE) division is responsible for a modern, safe, and available railway infrastructure. To ensure our assets continue to meet the ever-increasing availability requirements in the future, we are rethinking maintenance – data-driven, networked, and digital. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a key component in mapping the entire lifecycle of our assets, from planning and construction through to operation and maintenance.

Your job, you...

  • develop a strategic vision for the use of BIM in maintenance. From this, you derive concrete use cases that can add value to the maintenance processes of railway infrastructure.
  • define how BIM models from planning and construction can be adopted and prepared so that maintenance staff can actually work with them in their daily operations.
  • determine, in close collaboration with the specialist departments, how the models should be structured and what information (attributes, data depth, links to asset and maintenance data) they must contain.
  • coordinate BIM topics, requirements, and standards across divisions and ensure a shared understanding beyond departmental boundaries.
  • initiate pilot projects, support their implementation, and translate the insights gained into scalable solutions and standards.
  • act as an interface between IT, engineering, and operational maintenance units, actively driving the operationalization of BIM usage.

Your profile

  • You hold a completed technical university degree (university of applied sciences or university) in a relevant field such as civil engineering, industrial engineering, (technical) computer science, digitalization, or a comparable discipline.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of BIM and ideally experience in its application and implementation – preferably in infrastructure, rail, or asset management environments.
  • You are characterized by a strong affinity for IT and technology. You understand data models, interfaces, and digital tools.
  • You have an understanding of maintenance processes and the ability to translate complex relationships into practical solutions.
  • You bring a conceptual and strategic mindset, combined with a structured, independent, and implementation-oriented way of working.
  • You possess strong communication and coordination skills and enjoy acting as an interface to bring together different business areas and interests.

Our offer

  • For the position of "Technical Specialist Senior Staff Performance Management," a minimum salary of €55,307 gross per year is provided for 38.5 hours per week. Depending on qualifications and professional experience, an overpayment is possible.
  • The health of our employees is important to us, which is why we regularly offer the opportunity for health check-ups. Annual health days and vaccination campaigns are also part of the program.
  • As the country’s largest climate protection company, we offer you a secure and sustainable workplace with exciting tasks and the opportunity to make your personal contribution to climate- and environmentally-friendly mobility.
