As a Design Engineer in the field of automation, you will be responsible for the conception and detailing of automated welding systems - from individual components to assemblies and the overall layout. You will take into account design guidelines and use our product databases, such as Windchill PLM and our ERP system, for support.

Your responsibilities:

• Regular coordination with project managers and the development and production departments
• Selection of suitable manufacturing methods and materials for components
• Design development of customer-specific automated welding systems (project planning)
• Development of pneumatic (hydraulic) components for welding systems
• New and further development of components as well as expansion of the product portfolio
• Supporting sales in the creation of concepts and calculations

Your profile:

• Structured - Communicative – Team player
• Completed education in mechanical engineering (HTL, University of Applied Sciences/University)
• Several years of professional experience in design engineering in mechanical and plant engineering (min. 5 years)
• Knowledge of relevant design guidelines
• Experience with 3D CAD systems (preferably Creo Parametric)
• Solid knowledge in steel construction, drive technology, turning and milling technology, sheet metal technology
• Experience in implementing economic tasks (e.g., cost calculation, offer comparison)
• Experience with product data management is an advantage (preferably Windchill)
• English language skills

Our wages and salaries are above the collective agreement (KV) of the electrical and electronics industry. The minimum KV rates range between € 3,888.53 and € 4,993.21 - with a willingness to pay above the minimum. The exact amount depends on your qualifications and experience.
