Tasks that inspire you:
- We prepare you thoroughly for your future job with a comprehensive 9-week training programme.
- In a small team, you will assemble trains. You will couple wagons, brake them, and secure them.
- You will operate safety technology systems such as switches and similar equipment.
- You will maintain constant radio contact and coordinate with colleagues from other shunting teams, train drivers, and the operations control centre.
- You will be our eyes for quality on site: You will monitor for defects or damage to vehicles, loads, and our facilities, and report these immediately.
Your training:
- You will learn and practice everything you need for your job in approximately 9 weeks at one of the ÖBB training centres in Vienna, Amstetten, Villach, or Graz.
Requirements you meet:
- Your German language skills are sufficient to communicate effectively with your colleagues via radio.
- You have completed vocational or school education (apprenticeship, technical school, A-levels, etc.).
- Heat, cold, wet conditions, and draughts do not bother you, and you are physically fit.
- You have already completed your mandatory military or alternative civilian service or are exempt.
- You and your family can handle varying working hours in shift work (nights/weekends/public holidays).
