Tasks that inspire you:
- We prepare you thoroughly for your future job with a solid 9-week training program.
- In a small team, you assemble trains. You couple wagons, brake them, and secure them.
- You operate safety systems such as switches and similar equipment.
- You maintain constant radio contact and coordinate with colleagues from other shunting teams, train drivers, and the operations control center.
- You are our eyes for quality on site: You monitor for defects or damage to vehicles, loads, and our facilities, and report these immediately.
Your training:
- You will learn and practice everything you need for your job in around 9 weeks at one of the ÖBB training centers in Vienna, Amstetten, Villach, or Graz.
Requirements you meet:
- Your German skills are strong enough to communicate effectively with colleagues via radio.
- Preferably, you have completed vocational training or schooling (apprenticeship, technical school, high school diploma, etc.).
- Heat, cold, wet conditions, and drafts don’t bother you, and you are physically fit.
- You have already completed your mandatory military or civilian service or are exempt.
- You and your family can handle varying working hours in shift work (nights/weekends/holidays).
