The Business Unit for Education and Training (AWB) is responsible for the majority of ÖBB’s apprenticeship training as well as all in-company and technical education and training for employees.
As Coordinator of the Knittelfeld Training Workshop, you will assume overall responsibility for a training location and significantly shape the quality of our apprentices' professional and personal development. You will combine pedagogical understanding with economic thinking and personnel management, coordinate training in the regional environment, and work together with internal and external partners to ensure future-oriented apprenticeship training.

- are responsible for the location- and area-specific implementation of training plans as well as company-wide pedagogical guidelines and training standards.
- plan the need for equipment, tools, and teaching and training materials.
- take on the planning, coordination, and management of apprentices' practical assignments in coordination with the workshop and specialist departments of the (sub-)group companies, as well as regional resource planning.
- manage all processes related to apprenticeships at the location in accordance with guidelines (admission, accommodation, examination procedures, etc.).
- serve as the contact person and interface for apprenticeship offices, vocational schools, authorities, chambers, and guardians in the respective federal state or area of responsibility.
- monitor compliance with employee protection, safety, and fire protection regulations as part of on-site Safety Management and assume responsibility in accordance with § 3/6. Additionally, you act as the regional interface to the Labour Inspectorate.
- ensure compliance with all legal regulations relevant to apprenticeship training and contribute to the assessment and interpretation of laws relevant to dual apprenticeship training (Vocational Training Act, Child and Youth Employment Act, School Education Act, and Employee Protection Act).
- act as the central contact person for the Public Employment Service (AMS) in matters of job advertisements, apprentice recruitment, and funding, as well as for the Austrian Economic Chamber (WKO) in all aspects related to apprentice funding and final apprenticeship examinations – from submission to organizational implementation.
