For the ÖBB Holiday & Seminar House in Bodensdorf/St. Urban on Lake Ossiach with approximately 100 beds, we are offering a committed Head Chef (m/f/x) an attractive full-time position starting in early September or by arrangement.

Your job, you...

  • create menu plans for a two-week cycle with seasonal adjustments.
  • handle food orders (online) and take delivery of goods.
  • prepare meals for around 100 house guests (half-board in buffet form and/or à la carte menu) and a small lunch menu (à la carte) as well as provide a small selection of ice cream and cakes. No à la carte service in the evening.
  • organise catering for seminar guests (break snacks, three-course à la carte menu and/or buffet).
  • lead a kitchen team of 5–7 employees and create duty rosters.
  • are responsible for HACCP, recipes, monthly inventory and stock management.
  • take on the classic administrative and operational tasks of a head chef.

Your profile, you...

  • have completed vocational training as a chef and can demonstrate experience in leading a kitchen team.
  • have in-depth HACCP knowledge and are familiar with the Austrian Employee Protection Act (ASchG).
  • ideally have basic IT skills (digital ordering and control systems).
  • possess a strong sense of quality, a well-groomed appearance and good interpersonal skills.
