In the Operations division, we ensure that train and shunting movements are carried out safely and punctually, while keeping our customers fully and promptly informed.
Support us in Tyrol for 3 years as part of our mobility programme. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to work in your home region again.
Your Training
For the shunting locomotive driver training, we need safety-conscious and responsible employees. After 9 weeks of theoretical training in shunting, you will complete a 6-month practical assignment in your region, learning from and alongside experienced and skilled colleagues. Following this, you will receive further training lasting 26 weeks to become a locomotive driver. Upon successfully completing your training and after an intensive regional induction, you will independently take on tasks in shunting, contributing to optimal shunting operations and ensuring safe and punctual rail traffic across Austria.

Tasks that will inspire you:
- You will couple wagons, uncouple connections, form trains, and brake and secure the wagons.
- You will set switches and operate other technical and electronic equipment.
- You will carry out shunting movements with the traction vehicle.
- You will take charge of shunting management and supervision during shunting operations in stations and on open-track facilities, assigning tasks to the shunting team members.
- You will exchange operationally necessary information with your team colleagues.
- You will ensure compliance with safety regulations throughout the entire shunting process to guarantee safe and punctual operations.

- For the duration of our mobility programme, depending on your commute time, you will either receive an additional mobility bonus of €4,000 to a maximum of €14,000 gross per year or be granted between 8 and 28 additional days off per year. Furthermore, a service room will be provided.
- With a 12-hour shift model, you will only work 3-4 times during your working week (Mon-Sun) and enjoy more free time due to fewer commutes to work.
