Your Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the Logistics / Warehouse Logistics department with a surface area of over 10,000 sqm, plus an additional 6,500 pallet storage spaces in a modern, fully automated high-bay warehouse (approx. 18,000 shipments and 100 pallets leave the site per week)
- Leadership of the logistics team, including a warehouse manager and several sub-teams, totaling around 70 employees who report to you directly
- Planning and controlling all operational processes in the areas of goods receipt, storage, order picking, and external transport
- Responsibility for compliance with work, fire protection, and safety regulations
- Development, expansion, and implementation of efficient processes and structures, as well as continuous analysis and measurement of their effectiveness and identification of improvement potential
- Responsibility for inventory and its execution
- Budget preparation and cost center responsibility
- Direct reporting line to senior management
Your Profile:
- Completed higher education with relevant background, ideally a degree in Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in logistics, preferably in the trade/wholesale sector within a non-food environment
- Knowledge of WAMAS® Software Solutions (logistics software by SSI Schäfer) is an advantage
- Analytical and solution-oriented approach
- Operational experience in establishing processes and structures
- Smart thinker with a hands-on mentality and pragmatic approach
- Down-to-earth and someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves when needed
- Strong organizational skills, social competence, and assertiveness
