As part of a structured succession plan, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on-oriented Technical Plant Manager (m/f/d) who, together with the current incumbent, will take over full responsibility for the plant.

In this key position, you will be responsible for the areas of production, work preparation, warehouse, shipping, and maintenance. In addition to a clear focus on quality, delivery reliability, and productivity, you will be characterized by employee-oriented leadership skills and a strong presence in day-to-day operations.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management of the Plant
    • Leadership and further development of the plant with around 40 employees in a 2 to occasionally 3-shift operation
    • Responsibility for daily production performance
  • Technical Responsibility
    • Responsibility for the technical management of the processing line
    • Responsibility for material processing, warehouse management, quality control, as well as packaging and logistics planning
    • Responsibility for and continuous improvement of plant availability as well as reduction of setup times
    • Involvement in investments, modernizations, and process optimization projects
  • Production Planning & Logistics
    • Planning and controlling production based on customer orders
    • Ensuring material availability, including early detection of bottlenecks, as well as monitoring inventory levels and material movements
    • Monitoring material efficiency (offcuts, residual sheets, scrap) and compliance with packaging regulations and customer specifications
  • Quality Assurance
    • Ensuring product quality in terms of dimensional accuracy, surface, cutting quality, and compliance with customer-specific requirements
    • Responsibility for complaint management (root cause analysis and corrective actions), as well as close collaboration with sales and customer service, and ensuring traceability and documentation

Your Profile:
  • Completed diploma in mechanical engineering (or equivalent qualification)
  • Many years of professional experience with industrial plants in shift operations
  • Experience in mechatronics with a specialization in mechanics or electrical engineering
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience as a production and/or plant manager
  • Good knowledge of ERP/production systems
  • Experience with Lean methods (e.g., TPM, OEE) as well as in occupational safety and maintenance management is desirable
  • Structured, solution- and results-oriented work approach and the willingness to take on long-term responsibility
  • Understanding of quality, tolerances, material flow, and punctuality
  • Very good German and English skills
  • Strong communication and assertive personality with a high degree of solution orientation and a hands-on mentality
