The IT & Digitalization department maintains existing systems and actively shapes new solution approaches for passenger transport-specific IT. The scope ranges from Smart Data and group-wide production systems to telematics solutions.
For the IT Governance department within IT & Digitalization, we are looking for a committed IT Portfolio & Vendor Management Analyst based at our corporate headquarters in Vienna at the main train station.
This position combines IT portfolio controlling, commercial management support, and vendor and external resource management. In this role, you will support IT service managers, project leaders, and IT management with financial, organizational, and strategic decision-making.
You will actively participate in tender processes, procurement, IT service tenders, and the management of external partners. In doing so, you will ensure transparency, sound economic decision-making bases, traceable data, and compliant execution.
Your role, you will...
- contribute to the creation, analysis, and commentary of monthly results and derive actionable recommendations for IT management.
- prepare forecasts, budgets, and medium-term planning together with the departments, including variance, trend, and plausibility analyses.
- take on tasks in project and project portfolio controlling and transparently present costs, budgets, resource commitments, performance statuses, and deviations.
- support IT service managers, project leaders, and IT management in commercial processes (e.g., orders, planning, resource utilization, applications, billing, decision-making documents).
- prepare management documents, reports, presentations, applications, and decision-making bases, or review these to ensure data quality, traceability, and clarity.
- support tenders, procurement, and the acquisition of IT services, including service descriptions, commercial evaluations, offer comparisons, and tender documents.
- oversee collaboration with suppliers and external partners (resource requirements, deployment management, performance deviations, claims, contract-compliant billing) and act as an interface with internal departments (including procurement, legal, controlling, accounting).
- work on the further development of processes, tools, and reporting, actively contribute as a team player, identify support needs early, and promote solution-oriented collaboration.
Your profile, you have...
- a degree in Business Administration or Business Informatics with a focus on IT & Digitalization, preferably from a university of applied sciences or university, or an equivalent qualification.
- relevant professional experience in IT PMO, project controlling, IT portfolio controlling, IT procurement, IT vendor management, or a comparable commercial IT management function.
- a strong business acumen, an interest in legal matters, and experience in creating decision-ready documents.
- a good understanding of IT organizations, IT processes, IT projects, and ideally IT service or IT governance structures.
- solid knowledge of SAP (FI/CO/MM), MS Office, MS Teams, and Excel, including pivot tables; ideally, you have worked with JIRA, Power BI, or comparable reporting and portfolio tools.
- analytical skills that enable a structured way of working, and you stand out through curiosity, initiative, and a willingness for continuous development, which aligns well with a service-oriented and customer-focused department.
