Legal Expert for IT Law and Digitalization (m/f/d)

What to expect

• We will entrust you with handling a variety of legal issues arising from existing regulations and current legislative projects at both national and EU levels (e.g., in the areas of e-government, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, electronic identity [e-ID], Single Digital Gateway, European Health Data Space, etc.)
• Look forward to addressing intellectual property law matters – particularly licensing issues – and their practical implementation through audits and contract negotiations in the digital age
• You will support our digitalization strategy from a legal perspective, focusing on digital services (applications, confirmations, chatbots, apps, etc.) for our insured individuals
• Additionally, you will prepare statements and legal opinions for internal and external contacts regarding implementation and liability questions (e.g., reporting obligations or provider liability)
• You will also act as the central contact person and interface to the Legal and Science business unit
• Competition and procurement law are not part of your core responsibilities

What sets you apart

• You hold a completed degree in law
• Furthermore, you have in-depth knowledge and initial professional experience in relevant national and international legal frameworks, such as the E-Government Act, NIS-2 Directive and its national implementation, eIDAS Regulation, Single Digital Gateway Regulation, AI Regulation, EHDS Regulation, Copyright Act, Medical Devices Act 2021
• Your interest in technical contexts and a solid technical understanding of IT law convince us
• You also stand out due to your efficient work style, confident demeanor, and assertiveness
• Excellent English skills, combined with strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making competence, round off your profile

We offer a gross minimum annual salary according to the collective agreement A for employees at Austrian social insurance institutions on a full-time basis starting at EUR 60,585.00 (no all-in contracts); depending on professional qualifications and experience, prior service may be credited, significantly increasing your actual salary.
