In the field of Information Technology and Telecommunication, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to join our Cyber Security – Identify & Protect (I&P) team as a Security Analyst. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the ÖBB’s Cyber Threat Intelligence product and ensure that our critical infrastructure is protected at the highest security level.

Your role, you will...

  • analyze, categorize, and channel CTI information for your stakeholders.
  • identify, assess, and prioritize threats (actors, campaigns, etc.) from the perspective of the Austrian Federal Railways (critical infrastructure).
  • provide necessary information to risk management and deliver actionable recommendations for our proactive and reactive security products.
  • support Threat Hunting, Detection Engineering, and Incident Response with actionable intelligence.
  • work on automation and AI technologies to improve processes and workflows.
  • create and enhance technical documentation for ongoing services and assist with reporting and reviews for further development.

Your profile, you have...

  • completed IT education (HTL, university of applied sciences, university), relevant cyber security certifications, or comparable several years of practical experience in IT operations.
  • an understanding of the fundamentals of Cyber Threat Intelligence and think beyond IOCs to include TTPs.
  • an interest in Threat Actor campaign profiling and providing information for Incident Response.
  • knowledge of evaluating information using a risk-based approach.
  • a strong interest in cyber security and a desire to further develop your expertise in this field.
  • a structured and analytical way of working and handle security-relevant information with care.
  • the ability to work independently as well as in a team and communicate technical topics clearly across different IT areas.
  • a broad range of soft skills, including teamwork, communication, and analytical thinking.
  • the ability to consolidate various pieces of information to create a comprehensive picture.
