In the Business Unit Rail Systems, we are responsible for the availability, safety, and economic operation of telecommunications networks as well as control, signaling, and telematics systems.

Your Job

  • Your area of responsibility includes conducting specialized inspections on complex railway signaling systems – specifically operational control centers – to ensure safe rail traffic while complying with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • You ensure that the operator of signaling systems adheres to regulatory frameworks and quality standards.
  • You independently organize the inspection and testing process.
  • You are responsible for issuing inspection reports. Your scope of activities includes recurring inspections of complex railway signaling systems – specifically operational control centers – on behalf of those responsible for the systems, as well as topics related to system integration, particularly the integration of new systems into operations.

Your Profile

  • Completed technical education (HTL, FH, TU) in mechatronics, electrical engineering, electronics, or a comparable field, or extensive professional experience as a service technician in signaling technology.
  • Completed specialized training in signaling technology for signaling technicians, including successfully completed operational and signaling technology training (ST01, ST02).
  • Several years of professional experience in signaling technology, particularly in the installation or maintenance of signaling systems.
  • Ability to work independently as well as structured and logical thinking.
  • Strong, persuasive, and socially competent demeanor with a high level of assertiveness.
  • A lived team spirit, reliability, and personal commitment are particularly important to you.
  • Integrity, discretion, and loyalty are a matter of course for you.
  • Willingness to participate in required training sessions conducted by experienced inspection technicians.
  • Additionally, you are prepared to travel for work and be available on weekends and at night.
