Technical Product Manager – ServiceNow
- Vienna
- Full Time
ÖBB is facing one of the largest digital transformations in its history – and we are looking for you as a Technical Product Manager for our ServiceNow platform.
Are you ready to act as the technical backbone of our Product Management Team, ensuring the security and further development of our ServiceNow platform and making it future-proof?
As Platform Evolution Manager, you will share strategic responsibility for ServiceNow with the Product Manager – focusing on the technical design of our two platform instances, legacy decommissioning, and cross-platform topics such as security, governance, and compliance.
Your role, you will...
- be responsible for the platform strategy and technical roadmap for ServiceNow, ensuring that technical development aligns with corporate goals.
- work alongside Platform Architects to shape the technical design of our two ServiceNow instances and facilitate the necessary decision-making processes.
- oversee the legacy decommissioning of existing outdated systems and processes, as well as the platform lifecycle.
- drive platform-internal security, governance, compliance, and identity & access management topics, ensuring they are embedded in the platform architecture.
- bring the necessary technical understanding to collaboratively support architecture decisions with architects.
- ensure platform integration, which guarantees the seamless interaction of ServiceNow with adjacent systems, processes, and data flows.
- work closely as the technical counterpart with the Product Manager, aligning the platform’s technical-strategic direction together.
- prioritize technical (enabler) epics and features in the ART Feature Backlog, manage the reduction of technical debt, and handle the expectations of technical stakeholders (IT Security, Enterprise Architecture, Operations).
Your profile, you have...
- several years of experience in a comparable role (Platform Owner, Technical Product Manager, Solution Architect, etc.) in a scaled, agile environment.
- in-depth knowledge and practical experience with ServiceNow platform architecture, as well as relevant certifications (e.g., ServiceNow CSA/CAD/CIS) to competently guide and assess technical discussions.
- a collaborative approach with Platform Architects: You do not make technical decisions alone but facilitate and drive them together with the architects.
- solid expertise in security, governance, compliance, and identity & access management, as well as experience with system migrations or legacy decommissioning.
- a strategic, platform-lifecycle mindset rather than a focus on individual features.
- fluent German and English at a negotiation-proficient level, and ideally experience in corporate structures and complex, regulated IT environments.
- familiarity with agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and their application in large organizations.
- strong analytical skills, technical expertise, the ability to communicate complex matters clearly, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Our offer
- Flexible working hours in a hybrid work environment: Customer and company locations primarily in Vienna, with the option for home office in Austria.
- Opportunities for internal training and further education, as well as support for external certifications.
- Numerous additional benefits await you (special conditions for rail travel and in our travel agencies, travel discounts, holiday homes and apartments in popular domestic vacation regions, company-wide events & sports programs, culinary offerings in our in-house bistro).
- For the position of "IT Project/Program Management Expert," the collective agreement for employees in the field of automatic data processing and information technology stipulates a minimum salary of €56,854 gross per year for a 38.5-hour workweek. Depending on qualifications and professional experience, a higher salary is possible.
