Your tasks – exciting and diverse:

  • In 52 varied weeks, a comprehensive training program will prepare you specifically for your future role as a train driver.
  • During the training, you will gain valuable driving experience – both in the state-of-the-art ÖBB simulator and directly on the tracks.
  • The training will provide you with all the theoretical, practical, and safety-related knowledge required for the profession.
  • Upon successfully passing the final exam, you will obtain the train driver’s licenses for classes A and B.
  • After completing the training, you will safely, punctually, and reliably transport passengers and goods to their destinations.

What you bring – our expectations:

  • You have completed vocational training, and you will be at least 19 years old at the start of the course.
  • You have already completed your mandatory military or alternative civilian service, or you are exempt from it.
  • Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken, enable safe, friendly, and professional communication with passengers and colleagues.
  • You are physically fit and have good vision and hearing.
  • You can easily integrate shift work (including night, weekend, and holiday shifts) into your daily life and environment.

  • Additionally, performance-based supplementary payments (averaging €500 gross per month, excluding overtime) are offered.
