Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Leadership & Organization: Disciplinary and professional leadership of the accounting team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Monthly & Quarterly Closings: Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses) in accordance with Austrian GAAP and group requirements (e.g., IFRS).
• Annual Financial Statements: Preparation and support in compiling ongoing annual financial statements, as well as serving as the contact person for auditors, tax advisors, and authorities.
• General and Subsidiary Ledgers: Monitoring and maintenance of the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Support in annual budget planning and regular forecasts.
• Interface Function: Close, collaborative cooperation with Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain departments to clarify finance-related issues.
• Process Optimization: Continuous development and digitalization of accounting processes, as well as implementation of best practices.

Qualifications & Profile

• Education: Successfully completed commercial education (university/college with a focus on finance/controlling) or a solid certified accountant qualification (e.g., WIFI/Chamber).
• Professional Experience: At least 5 years of solid experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or logistics company. Initial leadership experience is an advantage.
• Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Austrian tax and commercial law (Austrian GAAP); group accounting knowledge (IFRS/US-GAAP) is a plus.
• IT Skills: Proficient use of common ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and excellent Excel skills.
• Personality: Analytical strength, high attention to detail, hands-on mentality, and a proactive, strong communicator.
