Your Responsibilities

• You ensure the reliable and highly available operation of Unix and Linux services on virtual as well as physical systems
• You monitor capacities, perform regular image backups, and ensure stable operation through continuous system monitoring
• You administer and optimize the Red Hat Linux server environment, taking established ITIL processes into account
• You contribute to internal infrastructure projects and customer projects and take over their technical implementation
• You consistently implement IT security policies and contribute to compliance with the applicable guidelines in the infrastructure
• You automate recurring tasks, particularly through the use of shell scripts
• You support and maintain central management systems such as IPA, Red Hat Satellite, or comparable solutions
• You participate in the 7x24 on-call service as agreed

Your Qualifications

• You have completed a technical education with a focus on computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field, for example, at a technical college, university of applied sciences, or university
• You have at least five years of relevant experience in operating demanding Linux or Unix infrastructures, ideally in enterprise or public sector environments
• You have excellent knowledge of working with Red Hat Satellite, particularly in the areas of lifecycle management, content management, provisioning, and compliance
• You have good knowledge of the OpenShift Container Platform; experience with cluster architectures, security topics, and lifecycle management is an advantage
• You ideally have experience in automation, preferably with Bash, Ansible, or comparable technologies
• You have practical experience in deployment, configuration, and patch management, ideally with tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or similar solutions
• You are willing to undergo a security clearance in accordance with § 55 of the Security Police Act
• You have excellent German language skills
