Main responsibilities:

• Initial assessment and care of patients, supported by a well-coordinated nursing team
• Triage to determine medical urgency and, if necessary, referring patients to other specialist departments
• Close collaboration with the nursing team and other specialist departments
• Training of junior physicians
• Management of the admission ward
• Participation in shock room management

Requirements:

• Completed training as a general practitioner, specialist in general medicine, internal medicine, anesthesiology, or trauma surgery, or recognition in the EU/EEA, or alternatively in a third country with continuous 3-year work experience in an EU/EEA country
• Valid emergency physician diploma; ultrasound competence desired
• Diploma in in-hospital emergency medicine desired or willingness to obtain the diploma (training costs will be covered)
• Proficiency in German (C1) both written and spoken, English skills, knowledge of Eastern European languages an advantage
• Enjoyment and interest in an engaging, yet particularly responsible and challenging role; high flexibility and commitment (especially for demanding shifts), strong understanding of emergency medicine, as well as efficient, precise communication skills, team and patient orientation
• Prior to starting, immunity against measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), varicella, and hepatitis
