Your Responsibilities
- Providing legal advice and support in all legal matters
- Responsibility for contract management, contract review and contract negotiations (e.g. purchasing contracts)
- Administration of contracts and other corporate legal documents in electronic archiving systems and databases
- Managing company secretarial work in alignment with the Business Unit’s and Group’s Legal Departments
- Act as point of contact for all compliance matters ensuring that Group Compliance Standards are applied and implemented locally
- Providing general legal advice and necessary trainings on general and specific legal topics
- Advising on insurance claims, acting as point of contact for local insurance brokers and supporting Business Unit’s and Group’s Legal Departments with local insurance insights
- Handling of day to day corporate law matters; liaising and coordinating with local counsel on extraordinary corporate law matters
Your Profile
- BA or MA in Law is a must; MAICSA qualification preferred
- 5+ years of experience as Legal Counsel, Legal Advisor or Company Secretary preferably in a MNC
- Excellent knowledge of contract law, company and corporate law
- High knowledge and competence in general legal matters
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English
- Ability to analyze and handle complex legal topics and offer efficient and workable solutions
