The Role:

In this role, you will apply project management and process analysis skills to drive or contribute to the development and improvement of systems, processes, and workflows. To succeed in this role you will need good analytical skills as well as strong communication and diplomacy skills, as it is focused on influencing decisions through advice and counsel. The Team of Finance Process Optimization provides business analysis and supports software development and testing to digitalize and automate processes across the Finance organization. Your responsibility will be mainly on GB's internally developed payments and refunding systems, its related Finance processes, and contribution to supporting our Accounting System.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the businesses and consult with users to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes
  • Identify potential solutions to make a process more efficient and apply possible technology solutions to achieve straight-through processing
  • Engage technology partners when needed to implement changes and controls
  • Support the system change processes from requirements gathering with the corresponding business process owners and business leads through implementation and provide input based on analysis of information
  • Act as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts and work cross-functionally as a team to achieve business objectives
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, escalating, managing, and reporting issues with transparency
  • Plan and execute integration and acceptance testing
  • Serve as a primary resource to provide functional and technical support as an SME in end-to-end financial accounting processes and automated systems
  • Document existing business processes, manage and analyze data, and recommend enhanced processes
  • Support other areas in Digital Transformation and Optimization in achieving the common goals

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance, Computer Science, or related field required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience preferably in the Financial Services industry and/or with data analysis
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and influencing skills to drive strategy and partnerships across the company
  • Strong project management and strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Working experience with the preparation of technical specifications as well as analysis of the large volume of data
  • Advanced understanding of financial and business processes and the risks surrounding those processes
  • Exceptionally organized and strong at execution, follow-up, and attention to detail
  • Must be a "self-starter" with a can-do attitude and execution mindset
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong communicator able to translate technology to non-technical peers and managers and to make clear, effective recommendations for effective use of technology to improve the business
